Coldplay Income

Coldplay brought in a total $81.6 million dollars in 2008. The breakdown is as follows:

- $40.8 million in concert revenue
- $35 million in cd sales
- $6 million in individual track downloads

Their average concert ticket price was $79.87. Coldplay came in 6th on the list of total income. Madonna came in first place with a whopping $120 million in income. Most of the artists on the top 10 were established artists doing worldwide tours. It will be interesting to see the artists that compile the top 10 list in the years to come. I predict a few changes. I would estimate an overall lowering of total income. Concert revenue will begin to take a larger percentage of overall income. And I think there will be further categories of income from video games, advertisements, etc.
