iPhone Album Covers

In the past, I have blogged about the lack of good options for obtaining album art, lyrics, and song information in the digital download age. It is spotty on iTunes and you run the risk of using unauthorized content on the internet, such as incorrect lyrics. And the lyrics might be in one spot, the album cover on google images, and the song information on another site.

Well, Apple is trying to fix this problem. They have partnered with the band Snow Patrol to offer a digital booklet to accompany their new album. This new digital booklet will be viewable on the iPhone and iPod Touch. This digital booklet will contain album artwork, lyrics, and song info.

Any group that can combine this information and offer it in an easy to access format will have a leg up on a pretty much non-existent market.
