Just Background Music?

A new website, Jamendo, offers public places in need of background music an inexpensive alternative to piping in the latest U2, Coldplay and Madonna. Jamendo allows streams to a number of different music styles without having to pay hefty copyright fees. There are still fees involved to pay Jamendo & the artists of the songs, but these fees are much lower than playing popular music.

Jamendo, based out of Luxembourg, has over 180,000 songs available for streaming. Some recent research shows that what is playing in the background is not all that important. for instance, the mood and style of the music is more important to the ambiance than playing a particular artist. With that in mind, the Jamendo option is a good alternative for restaurant owners or anyone else in need of music for their video project or website.
