Latin America Tour
A popular Spanish-language rock tour called Rock en Ñ is starting today with a stop in Caracas, Venezuela. The tour’s purpose is to promote Rock en Español and will hit 5 major countries – Venezuela, Colombia, Chile, Mexico, and Argentina.
The five cities that will host the concert are described by Raul Ramosas of ARTeria “important hubs in what will be our international network of flexible multi-purpose cultural spaces for the promotion of Spanish and Latin American cultures.”
The tour is organized by Fundacion Autor, which is the promotional arm of SGAE, a Spanish authors & publishers collecting society. The tour will include 12 artists – Julieta Venegas (photo) from Mexico, La Shica, Fon Román, Tabú and El Chojin from Spain, French-Spanish band Sargento García, Pelo Madueño from Peru, Los Mentas from Venezuela, and Liber Teran, Yessi Bulbo, and The Cavernarios, all from Mexico.
In the past, the tour has made stops in the USA, although this tour, the 9th in its history, will not stop in the USA. Hopefully they make it to the USA in future tours to promote the music more to the USA market.
Stay tuned,
Erik
