Twitter Traffic

Unique views to the Twitter website went from 19 million in March to 32 million in April. That’s amazing. It’s also a 68% increase over one month. We’re talking big numbers here.

The obvious implication is that Twitter is hot. If you are an artist and are not on Twitter, get on it now. And give people a reason to follow you. Offer exclusive news through Twitter. Or offer free tickets to the first 10 people that write you back.

Interact.

Keep it personable. Tell the mistakes you have made. Tell the successes. Tell your fears. And respond every now and then to people who return-twit to you.

Stay tuned,

that’s why it grows, because people see the numbers go up and they think they HAVE to be there. I think that if you suggest musicians to have a twitter account you should provide deeper foundation and reasons why. Im not saying twitter is good or bad, Im just having a hard time understanding why it is a must. I have a Blog and keep in touch with fans in a much richer way with pics and videos and else. Why write a sentence when you can blog!!!! I just think it’s another option to fulfill the need to be in touch, Not a must to me
